Out of this world!! nice!!!. Stainless steel? I rode the SS Indy Fab road bike and I love it. Now a days, the ultra highend SS is popping up and getting better and better. I remember speaking to John Castellano about his ZORRO and asking him why not ti or Aluminum. He said Ti is too expensive, and aluminum is just not boutique enough, plus the OX platinum is showing all the great attribute of all of the material, yet of course until Stainless steel. It looks oh-so-nice. If you don't mind how much does this one set you back for? It's gorgeous! Congrats.

Ohh...no, Mav! I shoud not be congratulated (and will never be)! Eventually, I just got up and hatta get out of my dream...

Well, I need to be inspired more...that's why I am starting to research Spaceframe stuff. Of course, one of the best starting points is from the Book Spaceframe Moultons. This crazy little thing called "Alex Moulton Double Pylon" frame can set one back approx. 15,000 USD (simply...5-6 framesets of the Mojo SL!). After thinking it looks oh-so-nice, another practical word comes...Oh, it's so darn costly!!! I think there are a few people in the US making mountain bikes based on this spaceframe concept. I have no idea how they look actually.
Your understanding is correct. The Moulton Spaceframe is made of what it's claimed to be "Aerospace Stainless Steel." I do not know how exactly different from typical stainless steel it is. I think it is still SUS304 with some special properties that are applied in aerospace industry.
I think I heard this name before Castellano from a few US Patents. How did he come up with pivotless rear suspension stuff? I don't really look at the details given in the patents but it seems to be an interesting rear suspension stuff.

John Castellano design Ibis Bow-ti, Silk-Ti, and Fango, now he design Zorro.

Thank you for congratulating me on acquiring the book "The Spaceframe Moultons." Even being just a book, it is really a good start for me...
A Double Pylon is ways too long to be true in my real world...

Thanks for more pieces of info.
Well...this Spaceframe MTB is oh-so-????
Still an interesting field, though.

Hej Joe. The Spaceframe Moulton books looks like a reprint of the original 1994 if I am not mistaken. I would love to get my hands on a copy. Where did you get it from? I'd appreciate it if you could let me know. Thanks heaps.

Just in case if someone looking at the front suspension of the Double Pylon or the Single Pylon is reminded of the so-called AMP Fork (developed and patented by Dr. Horst Leitner of AMP Research) in the 90s. Here is a little tricky and it could be a true admiration toward the cleverness of Dr. Alex Moulton to come up with another practical means of damping bumps
The front suspension equipped in the Moulton bike for the so-called "Single Pylon" model (launched in 1998) and the subsequent model "Double Pylon" released in 2004 is developed by Dr. Moulton. This new front suspension is named "Flexitor."
What is then a major difference between the AMP Fork and the Moulton Flexitor? It is very clear both front suspension designs are based on a parallelogram arrangement. However, the AMP Fork is coil spring-supported whereas the Moulton Flexitor employs rubber to damp the movement (not a coil spring). Closely looking at the Moulton front suspension, it can be seen with "Rubber-In-Torsion" units (in red marks) installed at both the lower swingarm and the upper swingarm.
AMP Fork (1995 US Patent: 5462302 by Dr. Horst Leitner/AMP Research)
Flexitor (2000 US Patent: 6109634 by Dr. Alex Moulton/Moulton Developments)
Flexitor's "Rubber-In-Torsion" units equipped in Single Pylon and Double Pylon
Which one should be technically better in terms of damping the movement for bike application will have to depend heavily on which conditions are being talked about. Both should have pros and cons in themselves. One major reason why Dr. Moulton opts for rubber is that he and his predecessors have been significantly involved in the rubber industry in the UK for a very long time (i.e., related to Goodyear, Dunlop and of course the Austin Mini). He is respectably an active engineer having a strong belief in broad applications of rubber....
