Hello,
I am looking for some advice for a nice multi day Mountain bike tour in Thailand, something in the range of 3 to 9 days.
What I prefer are Mountains / Single tracks / Technical tracks and Nice nature, and of course experience the nice Thai culture.
So far i have been searching on the internet but what scares me there are the prices of the offered tours, a lot of the prices are even higher then a tour in Austria / Italy. Other issue is that those tours are offered for all levels, i am afraid the average speed will be very low, some tour members have driven maybe a bike only a few times, while i am driving my mountainbike a few times a week when the weather allows it here in The Netherlands / Germany. But i think driving in a a tour group can be great fun if the levels are a bit the same.
If the tour guide could speak a bit English would be nice, because my wife and kids will not join the tour but will stay at their grandmothers house in Khon Kaen.
Does anybody have good experience in a reasonable offered tour operator ?
Maybe you can share a email address or website address.
Looking for a multiple day MTB tour in Thailand with some challenges.

Re: Looking for a multiple day MTB tour in Thailand with some challenges.
There are plenty of organised tours that charge nothing and some bikers can speak English.
Tell me when are you going to arrive and stay in Thailand and I can suggest some tours (you pay your own food and accommodation, nothing else) and if your arrival time is convenient I can even go on a bike tour with you (I am retired now but can bike 150-200 km a day with no problem). As long as you can tolerate 25-30 km/hr speed on a flat terrain, there is no problem at all to join any Thai-organised self help tour. But most tours would not involve tracks, just paved roads to interesting places even up into the mountains.

Lotus
