REGULATIONS
2012 Sweat Mountain Bike 62 km Regulations
REGULATIONS.
1. All bicycles used in all forms of mountain bike must be powered by human power alone. Front suspension is implemented with a set of shock absorbers in the front fork.
2. Wearing a helmet is mandatory during training and racing.
3. Bicycles must use a wheel on both front and back for all disciplines of Mountain Bike competition that is no bigger than 26 inches.
4. It is forbidden to use road bike or arrow bar type handlebar.
5. Tire’s tread surface is not less than 1.8 inch and any type of tires is permitted.
6. Competitors must fasten numbers supplied by the organization at the front of the bike to be easily identified. Riders must not cut, fold or mutilate race numbers. This will result in disqualification and no right for submitting a protest.
7. Priced rider for any category must identify his or her evident of identification (id card, birth certification or passport) to the organizing committee.
8. Mountain bike rider who is belong to national team for the current year is not allowed in all categories except the open class.
9. Rider can participate in any category.
10. Only the first aid service is prepared by the organiser.
11. Riders must complete the entire distance of the race and the responsibility for following official route lies with the rider. A rider is not permitted to take any shortcuts or omit a circuit or take other advantage of a similar nature against opponents. If a rider exits the route of the course for any reason, he/she must return to the course at the exact same point from which he/she exited.
12. If fewer than five (5) riders or five (5) teams for a category within the same class, there may be only one winner.
13. Each winner is classified according to his or her birth year and the current year.
14. A rider may receive technical assistance along the course from a fellow competitor but not from anyone outside of the course. No assistance from spectators, seconds or any source outside the course, is allowed.
15. A rider must act in polite manner at all times and permit any faster rider to overtake without obstructing. A rider must not use offensive or abusive language during the race, act in an anti-sporting manner, be disrespectful to the officials or ignore the race regulations.
16. Any walking, running or riding by a rider which is carried out without the intention of directly rejoining the course, or other activity in breach of the regulations, which takes place outside of the marked course area, will result in disqualification. Obstruction of any rider, unsporting conduct towards another rider with the intention of restricting movement may result in relegation or disqualification.

Penalties
Penalties can be imposed according to the nature of the offence and one or more of the following can be used:
1. Relegation of position
2. Disqualification
Protests
Any rider who considers he/she has been prejudiced by any action during the competition may submit a protest to the committee after he/she has crossed the finish line. A protest against results must be submitted in writing and it must be signed and presented within 15 minutes of posting the results along with a fee of 1,000 THB. If the result is according to the protest, the fee will be refund by the committee.
