Joe,
What's the travel on your Absolute MRD, have you weight it?
I'm thinking about getting the SL, but I know that Ibis is coming out with a longer travel light weight monster, so I'm patiently waiting. My friend rides with Tom Morgan and a few months back Tom said it's coming, especially now that Brian Lopes is riding for them. Personally, I think Dave Weagle is tinkering with the design so the ibis can be fitted with the Hammerschmidt cause the currently it's design around the middle ring riding. Dave would probably borrow the design from Turner DHR linkage with the ISCG tab. That would be sweet.
I'm also waiting for the Maverick Duc36 which should be coming out some time 2nd quarter. I heard that they are solving the production issue so the fork is heading to production already. I love Mid-West riding and Michigan has a lot of great trails. Though, in the winter months it's snowboard time.

It had 130mm of travel. I haven't weight the fork itself but my rig should b somewhere in between 22-23lbs(~0.5lbs increased from the original one coz I put Nokon housing, Formula The One, X0 Shifter and rear der. on it).

Hey Joe,
I like the way mine set up it's definitely allow you to use up all of the travel compare to stock RP3 which hold back about the last 1/3" or so. It feels good when you stand up as well Single pivot design tend to firm up a bit when you're sprinting and braking Push Industry seem to err out the bad trade. Worth the upgrade, my only problem with C'dale Rush and Prophet(I have both) is that the seatpost size is 27.2 and I'm stuck with Gravity dropper. I preferred Maverick Speedball.

BTW, if you are sending shock to pushed you may want to consider sending your RP23 on your SL. Push has been working closely with Dave and Han to optimized the shock rate I just had 2 ride on mine and it felt great, almost as good as the DHX air I can use almost all of the travel. I have my Duc32 mod to accept 650b front so that's my next project either turn my mojo into 76er or a full on 650b. Check out the blog on MTBR there are a lot of good review about the conversion.

คือผมกำลังจะสั่งโช๊คDuc32 มาใช้ ในอนาคตคาดว่าน่าจะเอามาใช้กับเฟรมML8 หรือไม่ก็ Ibis Mojo carbon (เฟรมยังไม่ได้สั่งมา)

อยากถามขนาด Total stack height including headset spacers ของเฟรม ML8, Ibis Mojo carbon (M size)

เพราะผมจะต้องระบุในใบสั่งซื้อว่า ต้องการ Crown size? (low, medium, high)

Wizard,
The head tube on ML8 is 135mm so you'd need either med crown or even large crown. As for the Ibis mojo's head tube is 115 you can use the low crown.

I use the tall crown on my ML8, and short on the Mojo. what you can do is to get the short(130-148mm) or, med(144-162mm) crown and add spacer(S) to fit both. Depending on the headset you'll be using on either bike since both are IS headset you won't have the bottom cup which is taken away precious mm when you are trying to make the stack height.


By the way a Med ML8 is taller and longer than Med Mojo. stand over on the ML8 is noticeably higher and if you are using the adjustable seatpost ie speedball, joplin it's not really low enough unless you are 5'9" or taller. Med ML8 is more like a Large Mojo. I have both size Mojo small and large. they both fit me fine. I have small ML7 and Seven Duo, and Med ML8 the medium size feel much bigger.

As far as the frame are concern, They both great depending on where you ride both will build to about the same weight 29.5-31lbs unless you are ready to spend some money for components then the ML8 with speed ball and 2.35 Nevagals will weight about 27lbs and Ibis Mojo about 26lbs. Both bike climb well and descend like you steal something. You may want to consider the Durance 5.5 it's a sweet bike. same build it will be lighter than Mojo.

Anyways, I do have extra crowns all size well more like med and tall as I'm keeping the short one so if you run into problem I can sell one to you at a reasonable price.

Well, you are probably buying a used or new old stock of Duc32 because Maverick stop making the Duc32 and concentrate on the new Duc36 carbon. I love mine I have 4 duc32 and 2 Sc32, all are tune by Kevin Booth at Suspension EXpert (S.E.X.) worth every penny. If you are ordering it from the USA I suggest that you send it straight to SEX to tune. The latest tune up is great and if you don't need the climb mode I highly suggest that you disable it and gain wide range of tuning. As you can see on my pic I have the threaded seal it's really cool.

ผมกำลังตัดสินใจว่าจะเอาอะไรดีระหว่างML8,Mojo เอาไว้ใช้เอง (ผมสูง174cm.ใช้Ellsworth Epiphany size M+SC32อยู่ กะว่าจะยกให้บัดดี้ผมใช้ เพราะความสูงไกล้เคียงกัน)

ก่อนอื่นขอบอกก่อนเลยว่าผมอายุค่อนข้างเยอะ แต่พฤติกรรมยังเหมือนเด็กๆ ยังอยากจะหารถลุยๆไว้ใช้ ถ้ามีอะไรแนะนำ รบกวนด้วยนะครับ


ขอบคุณล่วงหน้าครับ ในระหว่างรอเฟรม ผมจะสั่งDUC32 +crown size low มาลองใช้,ลองประกอบกับEllsworth ไปก่อน(สั่งจากDealerที่ออสเตรเลีย พอดีมีค้างสตอค) ถ้าได้เฟรมมาแล้วเกิดมีปัญหาผมอาจจะขอซื้อต่อ Spare crownจากคุณmaverickนะครับ

พึ่งจะรู้นะครับว่าหยุดการผลิตและกำลังจะออกDuc36 สำหรับมือสมัครเล่นอย่างผมแค่นี้ผมว่าDuc32ผมว่าโอเคแล้ว
