Re: โรงรถ
Hey Joe, How are you doing buddy? Chain slap not really, chain suck...a few times. I've tried them both sram XO and XTR as I have 2 mojo to compare. the sram definitely more quiet and less movement and I put tape and 3m protector on the stay even before my first ride so I guess I have never felt it. there's a minor rant going on the Ibis forum

A few complaint about the low BB. I actually like the low BB on the mojo. It contributes some unique trades especially corning, and climbing.
Hey, I've just got the Moment. I'm building it up as we speak I'd post the pic soon. You have a big hit bike right? which one do you have? Do tell.
Cheers,
Mav

Re: โรงรถ
Thanks for the link. It seems both chainslap and chainsuck are being much talked among Mojo owners! Putting a protector on the chainstay helps...but that would not be what I'd do if I were a Mojo owner! The beauty of the Mojo stay just should not be covered with the protector!maverick เขียน:Hey Joe, How are you doing buddy? Chain slap not really, chain suck...a few times. I am sometimes considering which one to go for between 5.Spot and Mojo. Perhaps, Firebird beats both all in terms of beauty.
Mav, well....I'm looking forward to photos of your next buildup. It's taken me quite some time to come to love the Ells...and now the Ells appears on my wishlist. However, the badge shouldn't have been changed.
Stay alive and kicking!

Re: โรงรถ
Joe, my naked Mojo carbon is protected by the clear 3m protector and not visible unless you look up close. I double the tape and cut out the tube to put on the to and the bottom of the stay to mute the sound, which I've hardly notice. I got paranoid since I bottom out onto the seat tube leaving a nasty mark. As for the chain suck it seems to be the trade of the Mojo. I bought the ring to prevent the chain from falling but have not got a chance to put it on yet.
My other Mojo Nuclear Pesto also get the make over I sent the fork out to Suspension EXpert to take apart and off to Spectrum powder coating, They did a wonderful job.
My new Ells is finished. I have not got a chance to ride it yet as you'd probably know the storm is here in SoCal for a couple of days. It won't be til Sunday for a trail ride. Fortunately, all the component is up and already dialed except for the DHX air which I just set up the sag and pre-lim rebound. Hopefully I'd get to dial it in on Sunday.
I've opt to go with the AM build to start but may switch to the Maverick fork later to make it lighter for now I just want to see what the bike can do, plus I love the Magura Wotan fork. It feels incredible. The bike weight 31.5 lbs with 2.35 kenda nev. I'm putting the AMP adjustable seatpost with Fizik saddle on it should be closer to 32lbs when it's done. If I go with the lighter Maverick fork and I9 wheelset XTR cranks and pedal it'd will be about 28.5. but we'll see.
Enjoy,
Mav,

Re: โรงรถ
Well after a few rides I can say that the moment is definitely a good technical climber, bit on the heavy side but doable. As long as you stay seated the ICT is doing it's job of isolating bob while keeping the suspension active. If you stand up and sprint however, it's not so good, not like Maverick or even Ibis. As for the descend it feel so plush and precise. The combination of stiff, stiff Wotan fork and solid chassis make for a very confidence run down rock garden. I still could not find the bottom on this bike yet, it seems to soak up any bumps and dips.
Solid bike, not the prettiest bike out there not ugly either, but fit and finish is up there with the best of them.
I was messing around with my buddy's Nomad(another solid bike).
Cheers
